Braces are usually used to repair teeth are falling apart and the defects in the jaw. But there are some things that should be avoided when using braces.
It is important for users of braces is the treatment process such as maintaining hygiene and dental health. If there is food stuck in the braces around or it can cause the formation of plaque and tooth decay.
Brushing and flossing after every meal can help get rid of the remaining food particles between the teeth and the wire. But more important is choosing the right foods to eat.

The food and hard candy
Fruits are hard, snacks, nuts and hard candy should not be consumed. If you want to eat fruits such as apples or pears, cut into small and should not be allowed to bite directly from the fruit. If you want to eat beans should be ground first, eat corn on the cob should be separated first and sucking candy (not bitten).
These foods should be avoided especially whenever changes in braces. This is because these foods are broken down and difficult to chew so the risk of breaking a tooth.
The food is sticky
Food or sticky candies like taffy, caramel, or chewing gum is chewed to make it stick to the teeth and wires, so there is the possibility of damaging the wire and the rubber. If there is food scraps left behind would be more difficult to be cleaned or removed.
Foods with high acidity level
High acidity such as lemon, lime and soda could damage the enamel on the teeth and cause discoloration. Later, after the braces are removed it will show the color differences in the teeth, especially in the braces are located.
