No breakfast, Stroke Risk Higher 30 Percent


Japanese study again proves the importance of breakfast. According to the study, the habit does not fill the stomach in the morning can increase the risk of stroke by 30 percent.

The conclusion came after scientists at Osaka University observing 80,000 people aged 45-74 years. The participants had no history of heart disease or cancer.

The results showed that participants in a week to forget the breakfast as much as 5 times increased risk of bleeding in the brain. In 13 years of observation, there were 3,772 participants experienced a stroke and another 870 suffered a heart attack.

When associating with breakfast habits, the scientists found a link they call very clearly. Published in the journal Stroke, the scientists concluded that breakfast three times a week or less can increase the risk of brain hemorrhage by 36 percent.

"Blood pressure generally increases shortly after someone waking up and peaked at 2-3 hours later, according circadian rhythm," said Professor Hiroyasu Iso, who led the study, was quoted by the Telegraph,
Prof Iso said the findings could be attributed to diet or menu choice to eat mostly Japanese people. More than half the population in the country breakfast with rice, grilled fish, miso soup and fruit.
