This Hazards Contaminated Maternal Substance BPA in Plastic Containers


A study conducted by scientists from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston revealed that bisphenol A (BPA) plastics in pregnant women trigger the baby is born prematurely. 

Quoted from the Times, the researchers analyzed blood samples from the fetus and the amniotic fluid of pregnant women who were hospitalized. 

"We found high levels of BPA in the blood stream triggers risk of premature delivery than women who had low exposure to BPA," said the researchers. 

As is known, BPA is a chemical contained in various layers of plastic containers. 

During heating the food, BPA will contaminate food. Worse, these harmful substances cause abnormal inflammation that can cause problems during pregnancy. 

"Over the past decade, there has been an appreciation of how exposure to industrial chemicals in widespread use because it can increase the risk of adverse birth outcomes," the researchers said. 

In addition, the study also published in The Journal of Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Medicine, explained that BPA exposure during pregnancy the risk of causing lung complications and behavioral problems in babies after birth.
