Study: People who Use Public Transportation to Work More Slim 5 Kg


Study the study sample as many as 150 thousand people in the United Kingdom showed that those who every day go to work without the use of private cars can weigh on average lower than those who daily use the car.

From the survey, known cycling as a means of commuting is the best activity to maintain body weight, followed by a walk. After that people who ride public transportation is also called weight better than those who use private cars.

Researchers report in the journal Lancet
Diabetes and Endocrinology says this shows that even a little physical activity alone is better than silent.

"This study basically shows that people are able to increase their physical activity, whether it's from walking to the bus stop or biking, they tend to be slimmer and have a body fat less than people who drive at work," said study leader Dr. Ellen Flint London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as quoted by the BBC.

Through data collected from 72 999 men see them that cycling is generally about 5 kilograms more slender than men who drive. Meanwhile, data from 83 667 women showed the same thing that is an average of 4.4 kilograms slimmer.

Ellen says the government wants its citizens thinner then steps must do is ensure that the citizens of easy walking or cycling for everyday activities. With fewer cars also get better air quality and will certainly impact also for health.

"This is the situation for public health and the environment," concluded Ellen.
