Ancient Castles Shakespeare Rent Only for Overnight



A castle immortalized in the story of Hamlet, the legendary author of Shakespeare's work, namely Elsinore, rented for overnight building whose real name Kronborg Castle is located in the town of Helsingor, Denmark. The building became one of the famous in the Renaissance in Northern Europe, and serve as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000.


The castle was built in the era of King Eric VII in the 1420s. In 1629 a fire almost singe the building, but the King Christian IV rebuilt it.

As quoted by CNN, an online service where we can hire or rent a place, Airbnb, Kronborg Castle has incorporated into the list of places which can be hired.

This is done in order to commemorate the 400 years of the death of the poet, William Shakespeare, which has historical ties with the castle.

For more than 100 years, the castle was no longer used as a residence. But overnight, the 300 guests will be treated like royalty.

The rooms where they stay will be equipped with a canopy bed, pillows lace, and other antiques.

Inside the main hall, available 7 kinds of banquet, where the actor, writer, and singer from Denmark, as well as the Royal Danish ballet dancers will entertain the guests.

For those who are interested to taste aristocrats overnight, must submit a short paper containing the reasons why they deserve to stay in the Elsinore Castle.
