McFerran said other music genres like rap, rock and pop do not have the same results as heavy metal gene. According to him, teenagers like the flow of heavy metal as an escape from reality. Some of the music being played is thought to reflect the pain, making them feel less alone.
But the results of this study also found that listening to heavy metal music streams can improve the mood of some teenagers. Parents are advised to ask their children about what is felt after listening to heavy metal music. And if the children were in a state of sadness or disappointment, we recommend that they stop listening.
