Researchers Discover Kids Planet Jupiter.Researchers found a planet called "Small Jupiter" in Triple Star System (Three Stars). Planet is also referred to as "Baby Jupiter" These are within 100 light years from Earth.
Researchers from the University of California discovered the planet through a telescope Gemini Planet Imager.
What is special about this planet? as quoted from Softpedia, Monday (08/17/2015), the researchers said that although the results of the identification planetary scientist is quite younger than Jupiter, but weighs more than twice the weight of the mass of Jupiter.
Why researchers refer to the name of 51 Eridani b is as small Jupiter. That's because the low temperature as well as the hallmark of a strong methane gas on this planet, very similar to Jupiter.
"Judging from the aspect of low luminosity, low temperatures and strong methane gas at 51 Eridani b makes it very similar to Jupiter of the number of planets that once we portray all this time," said astronomer James Graham.
Researchers also estimate that the planet has a light level of 1 million times fainter and cooler than the parent star. Thus their analysis, 51 Eridani b temperature of 430 degrees Celsius (800 Fahrenheit).
