Human Brain Designed to Always Think Positive

London - For people who are optimistic and always think positive, lively spirit will not be easily lost when they heard the bad news. Luckily, most of the human brain naturally is designed to always think positively.

In a study at University College London, the scientists concluded that 80 per cent of people have a brain to think positively. This is evident through brain scans using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

In scanning, the positive thought is indicated by increased activity in the brain called the frontal lobe. Activities in this section is highest in people who are optimistic, while the lowest value persimistis possessed person and always think negative.

As other evidence, scientists, coordinated by Dr Tali Sharot also experiment with 14 participants. At the beginning of the experiment, the participants were asked to determine how much risk to be 80 bad things in his life with cancer including cancer and divorce.

Dr Sharot then called the participants one by one, then tell the real risk of the 80 bad things that were previously assessed by the respective participants. After hearing the magnitude of the risk of the experts, participants were asked to respond.

Feedback most participants showed an optimistic attitude, for example, if at the beginning of the experiment say the cancer risk of 40 percent, and is mentioned by experts that the risk is actually only 30 percent, the response was positive and immediate trust. However, if the beginning of the experiment thought that the risk is only 10 percent of participants did not immediately believe.

"If the reality is worse, they are more trusting their own mind. They believe there is a slightly increased risk, but not much," said Dr Sharot who published his findings in the journal Nature Neuroscience as quoted by the BBC,
