After being closed since 30 years ago, travel or stair climbing paradise Haiku illegal on Oahu, Hawaiian Islands re-opened to the public. Ascent 3922 is presenting the stairs.
Unfortunately, the storm that hit Hawaii in February 2015, has made the climb is broken.Some volunteers also reportedly going to fix this climb.
Reporting from Huffington Post, a number of volunteers who are members of the Friends of Haiku Stairs to reform the illegal attraction.
To fund repairs, they open up to each visitor rates of USD 100 for foreign tourists and USD 10 for local travelers.
Although illegal, the President of the Friends of Haiku Stairs, Vernon Ansdell claims climb is not dangerous. Nevertheless, Ansdell still ask the climbers to remain cautious.
"Basically, this climb is illegal, but not too dangerous as imagined and plans a repair mission is actually very silly indeed, but this is a treasure trove of Hawaii," said Ansdell.
From some outstanding photo in Instagram, climbing Haiku has very narrow lanes and some stairs look broken. However, this ascent offers views feast for the eyes.
