As reported Mirror, Friday called excess happy to encourage extreme emotional stress which weaken the heart. Like grief associated with broken heart syndrome or Takotsubo, people who are too happy when a birthday party, a wedding, a surprise, celebrate the birth of a grandchild or a sports team victory could damage the heart.
Of the 485 patients, 20 others suffered heart with happiness. Dr Jelena Ghadri, from the University Hospital of Zurich in Switzerland, said that positive emotions also affect the heart.
"Physicians should be aware of and consider the signs of a heart attack such as chest pain and shortness of breath as a happy event," said Ghadri.
Ghadri said his team's findings expand the clinical spectrum of broken heart syndrome. Because when the heart receives a positive or negative emotions, the heart chambers will be narrowed.
Interestingly, in a study published in the European Heart Journal, 95 percent of patients with broken heart syndrome and happy are women. Each of those aged 65-71 years.
