A recent study revealed the health hazards behind nap for 40 minutes.
Apparently, nap longer than 40 minutes and done regularly it carries the risk of premature death. The study involved more than 300,000 people who sleep during the day more than 40 minutes. They have a range of health problems such as the metabolic syndrome, obesity, high blood pressure and cholesterol.
Research that analyzes of 307 237 people collectively and presented to the annual conference of the American College of Cardiology.
The study reported that nap is good and healthy, but once they
sleep more than 40 minutes, they have a number of links with health conditions that would make death, as reported by The Independent, 
The researchers asked all participants whether they conduct regular nap then they relate to the condition of their health. Including a history of obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic syndromes.
The study concluded, poor health conditions associated with the habit of napping more than 40 minutes each day. While those who napped less than 40 minutes of inactivity.
According to research, when a nap in a long period of time the body thinks they will enter the phase of 'deep sleep'. Round metabolism so imperfect as they wake up.
Meanwhile, nap time is less than 30 minutes, the body does not enter the phase of 'deep sleep'.
The leader of the research, Tohohide Tamada diabetes expert from the University of Tokyo said, "Take a nap usually done around the world. So to clarify the relationship with nap and metabolic diseases needed a new strategy."
"Sleep is very important for the health component of our lifestyle such as diet and exercise. So, short naps have health benefits, as long as done in less than 40 minutes," he closed.
