Women with cancer are always faced with a choice of 3 treatments from a doctor that surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. The third problem is the treatment increases the possibility for women to experience infertility patients.

The team randomly surveyed over 1000 women aged 18-40 years diagnosed with leukemia, Hodgkin's lymphoma, breast cancer or gastrointestinal cancer from years 1993-2007.
More than 900 of them in therapy that can cause infertility such as chemotherapy, pelvic radiation, pelvic surgery or bone marrow transplantation. Only 60 percent of those who received counseling on infertility and less than 10 percent were able to maintain fertility.
