46 years ago is a historic year for the world, in the first human landing on the moon. But in the same year a chocolate cake made for the wedding feast, and survived until today.
As reported by the Mirror, December 24, 2015, scientists have recently discovered dark chocolate cake at a house in Nottingham, England. Cakes are believed to be aged 46 years, an age that does not make sense to store food.
It is not clear how the details of the incident until the cake was found. But once found, they took him to the University of Nottingham for microbiological examination, to see if the cake is still edible.
Professor Christine Dodd said that the cake was wrapped in the traditional way, it was a little dry but still have a very good taste. They will be steaming the cake before it is served on Christmas day, to kill the bacteria that breed in it.
The chocolate cake was originally made for a festive wedding and had written in 1969 at the top. Scientists estimate that the cake is able to survive in the years to 46, because the cake contains alcohol by weight.
