Succeeding Against Cancer Types 6 for 13 Years


Lincolnshire, England - Usually people have to fight tooth and nail to beat 1 cancer in her body. But a father's struggle to beat cancer six separate attack and had to undergo 40 surgeries in 13 years.

Chris Underwood-Frost've had several tumors in various parts of his body since he was first exposed to skin cancer on his shoulder blade in 1999. At that time he was told could only survive for 18 months.

50-year-old father of origin Gainsborough, Lincolnshire has survived skin cancer in 1999, under his arm lymphoma in 2000, a lump in her breast in 2006, of lung cancer in 2009, and bladder cancer in 2011. But he started to 'get used' when diagnosed with cancer for the third time in 2006.

"All my life I've never smoked, so when it is known to have lung cancer it was like a real kick in the groin," said Underwood-Frost, as quoted by the Dailymail.

Underwood-Frost says he has always been a critic for people who smoke, even he hated to pub night or return home with the smell of cigarettes on his body.

Underwood-Frost last known tumor located in the bladder at 2 weeks ago and still have to take medication interferon to help fight any cancer that may come or recurrence.

This drug is a substance naturally produced in the human body and is used by cells to fight bacteria, viruses and tumor cells. A person normally produce 1 million units of interferon, but Underwood-Frost requires 9 million units a day, so he needs help from outside medicine.

"Some people ask me how I manage to stay afloat. I'm just grateful to all the doctors who have helped me had eight fantastic years with Max," he said.

Underwood Frost is also a member of Lincolnshire Police Authority revealed there are lessons to be drawn from his battle with various illnesses suffered, ie always check if you have the slightest concern.

"For men especially, do not overlook anything, immediately go to the doctor and check if it finds anything unusual. It may sound funny but the most important thing is a positive mental attitude, I never took it too seriously," said Underwood-Frost ,

Underwood-Frost was known to have served in the Army for 6 years, he gets some training meant that he has the ability to treat the condition. He said that discipline and determination within him to refuse to be defeated is an important factor.
