Annapolis Valley - When responding to the first report on the bush fire season, firefighters Nova Scotia, Canada found something surprising.
When the officer was going to fill the pump truck with water from the lake near the scene in Aylesford Road through hydrants, but they found a channel obstructed and issued no water.
"We are having difficulty getting water from a fire hydrant. Then we dismantle because they think there is a gasket that is missing, "said Shawn Carey, chairman of Aylesford and District Volunteer Fire Department
Quoted from CBC News, what they found was unexpected
officers.
"When we found a number of hydrants unload fish stuck in the grille. I do not know how they can get in. The fish of the stopper pipe until the water is not flowing. "
"This being the first time for us all. When there are four or five people around the hydrants and some have become firefighter long enough, and nobody has ever seen anything like it before. "
"I've heard there are a number of fire stations in this area that had problems with the salamander in the hydrant, but never with the fish."
Carey, estimates there are about a dozen fish sucked out of the lake. Some of them are still alive and returned to the lake.
The officer then reversing the flow of water and then filled blangwir and rushed to extinguish the fire.
"We were surprised by what has happened and we will be back there to avoid it being repeated. There grilles on the top and bottom of the pipeline, so we had to figure out how the fish could get there, "said Casey.
He also added that the incident was indeed time to make the process slow extinction, but lucky it was only a bush fire and not fire house or building residents.
