New York- By reading books, miscellaneous knowledge can be obtained. In fact, many are calling the book is a window to the world. But unfortunately not everyone is happy to read, including in the major countries in New York, United States.
It is of concern to a teacher named Alvin Irby there. He is also working with a barber shop
in enhancing the spirit of children, especially black children to read when his hair trimmed.
"I'm sure a lot of black children do not like reading, but it had to do with limited access to reading materials," Alvin said as quoted by NBC New York,
Alvin was then brought his collection to Levels Barbershop located Harlem, New York. According to him, the barber become one where people interact with different socio-economic conditions.
The barber in barbershop has agreed to be invited to work together to encourage children ages 4-8 years of reading while his hair cut. Barbershop owner, Dennis Mitchell, this too has to get rid of video game device to make room book.
"Because I did not have video games again here, children will choose to read a book while his hair cut. I feel 'rich' in this way, because I 'enriching' of the community," said Mitchell.
