London - Kathy Niakan, a developmental biologist has obtained permission from the authorities in the UK to carry out modifications human fetuses using gene conversion technology CRISPR / Cas9.
Quoted from Science Magazine on Wednesday, Niakan now works in the Francis Crick Institute in London. He applied for permission to use a technique intended to better understand the role of key genes during the first few days in the early development of the human fetus.
