Waterloo - When there are many typos and grammar in writing, maybe it is because you are typing with two hands.
A study published by the British Psychological Society, found that typing with one hand to make the vocabulary and language become better cohesion.
"Typing too smoothly and quickly make imbangnya not writing process," says a writer who does research in the Department of Psychology at the Univeristy of Waterloo Canada, Srdan Medimorec. It is quoted by The Telegraph,
"Writing is a form of expression that interact with the mind," he added.
The study was conducted by using a text analyzer software. The software was used to analyze the elements contained in the text, such as the diversity of vocabulary, complex sentence, also cohesion sentence.
The researchers asked 103 college students to write essays with different conditions, using one hand
and two hands for typing. The contents of the text memories can be either in school, or an event that has a positive effect on them.
The result, the researchers found that the vocabulary of participants better when they're typing with one hand.
The research team said that by slowing the tempo writing, namely typing with one hand, allows us to find words more and the result will be more widely used vocabulary.
"The essays were written with one hand contains a vocabulary that is more diverse and more there is no repetition."
"This is the first study to show that when the style of typing is changed, then the writing skills will be better," said the senior author of the study, Evan risks in.
In contrast, people who type quickly likely just write the words first thought.
However, typing too slow is not good. According to previous research, it can also interfere with the process of writing.
