Patch Security Gap, Google Spend $ 6 Million Fund

Jakarta - Security is one thing that became the main focus of technology companies. So, not surprisingly, if the enterprise class technology Google announced that it has disbursed more than US $ 6 million since launching a bug bounty program in 2010.

Put simply, through this program, anyone who finds a bug in Google's services or products, will carry a cash prize. In the last year alone, the company is headquartered in Mountain View, California, USA, has disbursed more than US $ 2 million to more than 300 security researcher who discovered over 750 bugs.                                   This program is very good for Google's internal security program that already exists. Because the bug bounty program to help motivate individuals and groups of hackers (hackers) not only to find flaws, but also to reveal them well when they find it, rather than use their findings for the benefit of malicious or sell it to those who want it.

Since its inception, the program has developed the bug bounty. Google has poured more money and fix bugs every year since it first launched the program. In response, Google security team has expanded this program to include more products and services, as well as offering a more tempting prize.

To note, not just Google that offer bug bounty program, but also other technology companies such as Facebook, and Microsoft. As quoted from Venture Beat, Saturday (01/30/2016).
