Archaeologists from the University of Cambridge discovered Pompeii of the Bronze Age settlement at a mine in Peterborough, England. This discovery will provide tremendous insight into the domestic life of 3,000 years ago.Settlements from the late Bronze Age (1200-800 BC) was a settlement for some families who live in a number of circular wooden houses built on stilts over a river.
"Here we learn more about the foods our ancestors ate and pottery which they use to cook and serve, The site is important for the international community and with this excavation will really change us about a period," said Duncan Wilson, Chief Executive Officer Historic England.
On this site archaeologists discovered an incredible time capsule that was buried as deep as six feet below the ground surface that contains items of textiles, small cups, bowls and a gunci past complete with food still in it.
The archaeologists also discovered glass beads exotic that is part of an elaborate necklace.
How these objects found show that these people are forced to leave the settlement Katika fire burns their houses. It is not known for certain whether it was an accident or was burned by enemy forces.
Archaeologists hope to find more in the next excavation, which has been running almost 4 years old and continued until the next few months.
"Usually in the Bronze Age site found many holes and may be at the site was found one or two metal holes that attract attention," said David Gibson, Manager of Archaeology at Cambridge Archaeological Unit.
But this site has archaeological team could actually see the daily life of our ancestors in the Bronze Age. It is the discovery of prehistoric archeology with 3D unmatched in terms of the range and quantity.
